Office of the RDC Apac Launches 7Km Road Rehabilitation worth 1.2billion.

The Assistant RDC Ms. Florence Acuma has launched construction of 7Kms road connecting Sub counties of Apac and Apoi.

The road stretches from Atopi – Anyapo – Ayeng with the budget worth 1.2 billion shillings. The road is to be constructed with funding from the National Oil Seed Project (NOSP) within 8 months contracted to Don-Mo contractors.

“The Government of Uganda wants to enhance the transport and communication network throughout the county with the aim to improve services to the communities, we should ensure no one interferes with this project amongst community because it has come to improve our livelihood”, The RDC said.

The DCAO Mr. Muboki Paul called upon community members to accept the project and maximize investments in agriculture so that the road is put into good use for transporting agricultural products to markets.

The District Chairman Hon. Ikomba Asanti Odongo thanked the government of Uganda accepting to the Districts request by bringing these investments to Apac. He assured the community members that the district leaders will ensure there is value for money the roads to be worked on under National Oil Seed Project to improve social services.

Other roads to be worked on include; Omukuwie - Apac Seed School 6kms, Ayago Market – Omanobye 8.5kms, and Barkworo P/S – Corner Olelo 8.5kms.
